I never knew the importance of personal development until I started my entrepreneurial journey 4 years ago. I have heard before that this industry is personal development with a compensation plan attached to it. That couldn’t be more true.

Since then, I have read a number of personal development books. I have invested in online business coaching to hone my leadership skills. Some have been worth it, others not so much. 

I have noticed that as the home based business industry, or “side hustle” opportunities grow, business coaches, self-help gurus, and everything in between have popped up as well. They will make big claims, promising large gains very quickly, invest in their product or training program in order to grow your business quickly etc. Some will offer good advice and tips, others will fall flat with their promises. 

There are 2 things that I know for sure when growing a business. 

The journey to success is not linear. Your path will take you up, down, and all around, and the explosive success you are seeking will come right before one of the most difficult parts of your journey unfolds. 

The second thing I know for sure is this… YOU ARE THE SECRET SAUCE TO SUCCESS. Not this business coach, or online program. YOU. There is nothing that they can teach you that will do more for your business than YOU. Absolutely, hone your skills, learn new things, expand on the traits you already have, but don’t get sucked in to the quick paths and promises to success. The only way you are going to get there is by doing the work, the work on yourself, and the work in your business.

You got this my friend. The path may be longer than we would like, and girl, I am right there with you but I know that it is worth it. I know you can do it.
